Oppositional party of Azerbaijan offers to create municipalities of big cities

The Liberal-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, led by Fuad Aliyev, does not support reduction in the number of municipalities, according to the press service for the party.
The party considers that it is necessary not only to raise the number of municipalities but also broaden their powers.

"The party is for creation of municipalities at big cities. There are no regional executive powers in the world, therefore, the party considers that the local municipalities could replace them", says the statement.
