Azerbaijani delegation visits Iran

The delegation comprised intelligentsia, journalists and members of the Science Academy, Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan spokesperson Abbas Iskandarli told Trend News.

The delegation will partake at the 20th anniversary of death of Imam Khomeini. The delegation will also visit the holy places Gum and Meshed.

In 1979, Khomeini led a revolutionary movement and succeeded in overthrowing the Shah regime in Iran. In a ceremony to be held June 4, 2009 in connection with the 20th anniversary of the death of Imam Khomeini, will be attended by approximately 900 guests from 47 countries.
