"The issue of our joint visit to Karabakh with the Ambassador of Armenia in Russia Armen Smbatyan is still under discussion, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bul-Bul oglu.
Earlier, the Armenian website PanARMENIAN.Net reported that the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bul-Bul oglu and Armenian Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian allegedly planned a visit to Armenia and then to unrecognized "Nagorno Karabakh" in mid June. According to the Armenian news agency, which refers to reliable sources, the diplomats are planning to travel to the occupied Azerbaijani territories through Armenia. Then the agency reported that diplomats will leave for Baku from Karabakh.

"The issue of our joint visit to Karabakh is under discussion, and it goes without saying, that my visit to Yerevan is out of the question. If this visit takes place in real, I will go to Karabakh from Baku, but Smbatian will probably go there from Yerevan", said the Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia.

Notably, the visit of representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijan intellectuals to Khankendi, Yerevan and Baku was held on June 28 of 2007 by initiative of the ambassador of the two countries to Russia, the Armenian website notes.
