Turkey to open general consulate in Ganja in September

Kilic met today with chief of executive powers of Lenkoran Suleiman Mikailov and visited the museum after Heydar Aliyev. The Ambassador is expected to visit some cultural and industrial facilities of the region.

While speaking to journalists Hulusi Kilic reported that there is a plan to open a Consulate General of Turkey in Ganja on September 15. Notably, on September 15 of 1918 the Caucasus Islamic Army, which included both Turks and Azerbaijanis, who fought together, liberated Baku from the Armenian-Turkish occupation.

Today the Ambassador will visit Astara region of Azerbaijan.
