NATO Secretary General is confident about further strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan

NATO appreciates the level of bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan, as outlined in the congratulatory video by the General Secretary of NATO  Jaap de Hoop Scheffer on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Baku accession to NATO program "Partnership for Peace", demonstrated Tuesday at the conference "NATO-Azerbaijan: A sight to future with the assessment of the past".

"Through the past 15 years, Azerbaijan and NATO have established a solid foundation of bilateral relations, which can serve as a support for strengthening cooperation in the future", noted in the appeal.

NATO Secretary General stressed the need for continued reforms in the armed forces of Azerbaijan for bringing them to NATO standards and praised Baku's participation in international peacekeeping operations.
