PACE rapporteur to visit Azerbaijan

Rapporteur John Greenway will be in Azerbaijan and Armenia on May 4-8.

The rapporteur will prepare his report on “Protecting the human rights of long-term displaced persons (IDPs) in Europe”.

Senan Huseynov, chief of press and international affairs department of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, confirmed to APA that John Greenway would visit Azerbaijan. The department chief said the meeting with John Greenway would be held in the committee on May 7. He said the rapporteur would be given Azerbaijani government’s reports about the refugees and IDPs.

The rapporteur will also visit the hostels and new settlements, where IDPs live, and concern himself with their condition.
