Soldier of the national army of Azerbaijan Hasanov Rafig in Armenian captivity is subjected to pressure and torture, said spokesman for the Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu.
"Our soldier is treated badly in the Armenian captivity. He is subjected to torture and pressure to make him give a negative assessment to the Azerbaijani army. We have seen his presentation on television, it is not difficult to notice that he is scared", - he said.

According to E. Sabiroglu, the Azerbaijani side continues to negotiate on the return of Azerbaijani prisoners of war.

"Azerbaijan in its attitude towards the Armenian prisoners of war is guided by humanitarian principles. Three Armenian soldiers who complained of harsh conditions of military service in the occupied territories have recently moved to the Azerbaijani side. Two of them were seriously ill, and we are engaged in their treatment. In contrast to the Armenian part Azerbaijan treats war prisoners based on humane principles," emphasized the spokesman for the Defense Ministry.

According to E. Sabiroglu, another one who passed to the Azerbaijani territory was transferred to a third country upon his request.
