Azerbaijani FM: Normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations must proceed on par with withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan

The normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkish must proceed on par with the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Elkhan Polukhov, commenting on the statements of the Turkish Foreign Ministry about attaining a framework agreement on normalizing of ties with Armenia.

"Our position on this issue remains changeless. This is a sovereign right of every country to define its relations with other countries. Nevertheless, Azerbaijan considers that normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations must proceed on par with withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan", said he.
