President of Azerbaijan meets heads of leading Russian mass media

ITAR-TASS director general Vitaly Ignatenko called the meeting a good opportunity to hear President Ilham Aliyev`s views on various issues from him personally.

The Head of State responded to a number of questions, covering the Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations, Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan`s involvement in international energy projects, the country`s economic development amid the world`s economic and financial crisis, regional issues, and Azerbaijan`s role in the international relations system.

Present in the meeting were director general of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Company Oleg Dobrodeyev, director general of the Channel One Konstantin Ernst, Editor-in-Chief of RIA Novosti agency Svetlana Mironyuk, Editor-in-Chief of Echo Moskvy radio station Alexei Venediktov, as well as heads of leading newspapers and magazines.
