Azerbaijan invests in both internal and regional transport infrastructure to increase its transit opportunities: Azerbaijani FM

During the conversation, they expressed satisfaction with the level of relations between Azerbaijan and China, and stressed the necessity of continuation of mutual efforts to develop them.

Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Zhang Yannan said his country considers that the dispute must be settled on the basis of respect for Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and peacefully.

Minister Mammadyarov, in turn, said the principle of countries` territorial integrity is a priority for Azerbaijan. He underscored the role of China in ensuring international and regional security.
The Minister also stressed the need for deepening bilateral relations in economic, cultural, tourism and other spheres.

Zhang Yannan pointed out that his country places special emphasis on relations with Azerbaijan.

According to him, Azerbaijan invests in both internal and regional transport infrastructure to increase its transit opportunities, and invites China to use this corridor more actively.

The Ambassador noted that during his tenure he would make every effort to contribute to strengthening and expanding bilateral ties.
The sides also discussed regional and global issues.
