CIS observers mission starts work on observation of referendum

The CIS observers mission has started work on observation of the referendum on introduction of amendments and alterations to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, according to the press service for Milli Medjlis.
Thus, chief of staff of the mission Eugeni Sloboda held a number of meetings with chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panakhov and Milli Medjlis representatives.

During the meeting it was noted that the mission will build its activity basing on principles of objectiveness and political neutrality, in line with the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan.

The CIS observers mission includes representatives of the member-states of the organization, CIS parliamentary assembly, parliaments of Belarus and Russia.

The Azerbaijani side noted during the meetings that all conditions will be created for international observers in the framework of national legislation for the successful fulfillment of work by the mission.
