Bulgarian newly-appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan arrives in Baku to take his office

Bulgarian newly-appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasil Kalinov arrived in Baku last evening to take his office, Bulgarian embassy told APA. Kalinov begins his diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan. He was a member of the Bulgarian parliament and led the parliament’s agrarian committee before.

Ivan Palchev, who has been Bulgarian ambassador to Azerbaijan since 2003, retired and ended his diplomatic mission in June, 2008 and returned home. He published a book entitled “Azerbaijan – the Caucasian tiger”. The book was published in Bulgarian and now its Azerbaijani version is prepared for publication.
