Protest to be held near Iranian embassy to Baku

04 March 2009 [16:27] - TODAY.AZ
The youth organization of the Civil Solidarity Party holds discussions about conduction of a protest near the Iranian embassy to Azerbaijan, said head of the steering committee of the party Samir Asadli.
He said the main reason of holding an action, along with that Iranian Seher TV channel holds a campaign against the statehood of Azerbaijan and abuses intellectuals, is a violation of rights of our compatriots in Iran.

"We hope that this time the Baku mayor's office will allow us to hold a protest as it aims to protect interests of the state and people", noted he.

Other public organizations will also take part in the action, along with the Civil Solidarity Party.

Notably, earlier the party also planned to hold a protest near the embassy, yet the mayor's office did not sanction it.
