Azerbaijan sends additional 45 peacekeepers to Afghanistan

The number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan has risen to 45 people.
Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan that an additional military peaceekeping contingent of 45 military men was sent to Afghanistan.

The decision to double the number of Azerbaijani peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan was made by Milli Medjlis in October of 2008.

Until this day 45 Azerbaijani peacekeepers patrolling in Kabul served in the structures of international forces of assistance to security in Afganistan.
