Operative-investigative group of professional officials of Prosecutor General's office, Interior Ministry and National Security Ministry

Prosecutor General's Office, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan have released a joint statement on the fact of murder of commander of air force and air defense force of the Defense Ministry - deputy Defense Minister of the country Rail Rzayev, said sources from Prosecutor General office of Azerbaijan.

The statement said that on February 11 of 2009,  commander of air forces and air defense of the Ministry of Defense - deputy Minister of defense, Rail Rzayev was killed with a gun at about 7.30, near secondary school No 172, locating at Ismayil bey Gutgashenly street of the Yasamal district.

A criminal case was instituted under articles "Deliberate murder of a person" and "Illegal arms use".

In this connection a session was held under the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with participation of the leading officials of the law enforcement bodies. The investigation on this case was taken under control by the head of the state.

An operative group of professional officials of the General prosecutor's office, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of National Security was created.

Intensive operative measures and investigation is carried out to solve the crime and detain the criminals.
