Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mamedyarov received copies of credentials from new Angola ambassador to Azerbaijan Samuel Titu Armando, according to the press service for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, the Minister noted that the bilateral relations might mutually profitable and Angola's voting against the resolution in the UN General Assembly on the situation in the occupied lands of Azerbaijan surprised Azerbaijan and this fact affects the bilateral relations.
In turn, ambassador Armando reminded that President of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santus studied in Baku at the Oil Academy, while the first lady of Angola Paola dos Santus, attending the conference on the role of women in the inter-civilization dialogue, returned to the country with the best impressions. The ambassador noted that Angola's voting against the said resolution is misunderstanding and he got instructions of the president to hold due work for expansion of the bilateral relations.
The sides came to an agreement to hold consultations of permanent representative offices in the international organizations.
