"Innocent children, women and elderly people die in the result of Israel's offensive in Palestine. As a protest, I appealed to the Milli Medjlis leadership about quitting the Azerbaijan-Israel group of friendship", said deputy Lala Abbasova.

"Israel uses prohibited weapon in its offensive. Children and women are not responsible for Israel's enmity with Hamas. I consider it inadmissible that civilians are punished for actions of a definite group. Hostilities should not affect them. If Israel fights against terrorists, civilians should not suffer from this. I have nothing against the Israeli people and my step is a protest targeting the leadership of this country and its military policy", said Abbasova.
The deputy noted that she submitted her appeal to the parliament and according to mass medias, she will be replaced with deputy Asim Mollazade, who voiced intention to be represented in the Azerbaijan-Israel group of friendship.
