"Introduction of amendments to the Azerbaijani constitution unites people. This is a public order, therefore, all attempts of the opposition parties to avert its conduction will fail", said chairman of the Ana Veten party Fazail Aghamaly, commenting on the issue of creation of several agitation groups by opposition.
He said these opposition groups have no single goals at the current stage.
"Regardless of propaganda and agitation, as well as measures they will take to resist referendum conduction, it will not be successful.
A greater part of the population supports the initiative of holding a referendum, therefore, opposition will not attain anything by creating agitation groups against referendum", noted Aghamaly.
Notably, the referendum on introduction of amendments to the Constitution is planned to be held on March 18.
