President of Azerbaijan holds several meetings in Davos

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has held a number of meetings at Congress hotel in Davos, according to AzerTac.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Prince Andrew.

During the conversation, they pointed out successful economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and UK, and expressed confidence it will continue enhancing.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Davos with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Poland Donald Tusk. The sides stressed that relations between Azerbaijan and Poland were successfully developing in political, economic and other spheres. They praised the level of bilateral economic cooperation. They also exchanged views on energy cooperation within the Nabucco project.

Also the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President and CEO of StatoilHydro Helge Lund.

Helge Lund said successful cooperation with Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company was underway within “Shah Deniz-1” and “Shah Deniz-2” projects. He, however, stressed the necessity of speeding up work on “Shah Deniz-2” project.

President Ilham Aliyev briefed Helge Lund on his country`s accomplishments in energy sector. He said Azerbaijan`s international energy cooperation is being enhanced, with the country playing more and more important role in ensuring Europe`s energy security.

The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence his country`s cooperation with the world`s leading companies including StatoilHydro would continue to enhance.
