Democratic Party of Azerbaijan urges to review decision about holding a referendum

The statement says that party chairman Sardar Calaloghlu sent an appeal with a request to review the decision about conduction of a referendum to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Milli Medjlis speaker Oqtay Asadov and chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev.

"Most amendments, planned to be introduced to the Constitution via referendum, may have a negative impact on the image of Azerbaijan. Moreover, the political situation in the country may deteriorate.

The Party urges Milli Medjlis to review decision about holding a referendum and asks the parliament to avert its conduction", says the statement.
