13 January 2009 [14:16] - TODAY.AZ
The winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will focus on the situation around the conflicts in the South Caucasus, including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to Milli Medjlis of the country.
"At the upcoming winter session of the OSCE PA on February 19-20 special representative of this parliamentary organization Goran Lennmarker will present a report on the situation in the region", said sources in Milli Medjlis on Tuesday.

"Lennmarker plans to finish the report by results of his upcoming visit to the regional countries, including Azerbaijan in February", added the sources.

During the visit to Azerbaijan Lennmarker will meet with the leadership of the country.

According to sources, Lennmarker was appointed the rapporteur of this international organization on the Karabakh problem in 2003. Yet after his being elected as chairman of the OSCE PA in 2007 this position has been vacant.

Only by his own initiative Lennmarker continued to fulfill functions of the OSCE PA representative on the Karabakh conflict. At the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary assembly Lennmarker was again appointed a special representative of this structure on Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
