Allahshukur Pashazade supports amendments to Azerbaijani Constitution

Head of the Caucasus Muslims Department Allahshukur Pashazade supports amendments to the Constitution, envisioning elimination of restrictions on the number of election of one and the same person as a president of the country for no more than twice.

"This is democratic and serves to Azerbaijan's development. Therefore, I am for these amendments", he told reporters Tuesday, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.

He said people have a right to elect and be elected.

"We are not against it. The matter is that when someone is set obstacles, it is not democratic. If people want such changes, they have this right. It is democratic", said the Sheikh.
