President of Azerbaijan receives speaker of Afghan parliament

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation, headed by chairman of the National Assembly of Afghanistan Magomed Yunis Ganuni, reports Day.Az with reference to the official website of the President of Azerbaijan.

The meeting participants stressed the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan, noted existence of good potential for the further expansion of cooperation in the sphere of policy, economy and so on.

Speaking of the importance of interparliamentary ties in consolidation of mutual cooperation, President Aliyev voiced hope that this visit of the delegation will be an important step in the development of the Azerbaijani-Afghan relations.
