Khazar Ibrahim: "The principle of the territorial integrity is above the principle for self-determination"

"The principle of the rights of nations for self-determination, which we recognize, was reflected in the Helsinki act, which says, however, that the said principle can be settled only in the framework of observation of the principle of territorial integrity", he told reporters Monday.

He said official Baku respects all principles of international law.

"We signed documents, became members of the due international organizations and Azerbaijani officials demonstrated these positions repeatedly on different levels.

Yet in the framework of international law different principles have their due place and power and the principle of territorial integrity is above the principle of self-determination", said Ibrahim.
