Government allocates funds for conduction of agitation campaign Qudrat Hasanquliyev

The Supreme Court of Azerbaijan granted the cassation appeal of presidential candidate and chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Qudrat Hasanquliyev, said plenipotentiary representative of presidential candidate and deputy chairman of the party Elchin Mirzabeyli.

He said the state allocated AZN 28,000 to the candidate.

"By the decision of the court, we returned 12,000 to the state and we were allocated $28,000. It means that the state allocated AZN 16,000 to us.

We are planning to use this money for transmission of agitation materials on the Television", said he.

It should be reminded that the Central Electoral Commission has previously refused to allocate funds to the candidate, as Hasanquliyev was unable to overcome the 3% limit at the 2003 presidential elections and did not return the funds, received from the state.
