The letter says that an Azerbaijani woman has always demonstrated wisdom and self-sacrifice on the way of perpetuating of our traditions and their transfer from generation to generation.

"She has always protected the high national and moral values of our people and used her powers and abilities to raise our young generation in the spirit of national ideology by breeding love for land, labor and family in them.

Throughout the whole history of our people, prominent figures praised the beauty, brevity and loyalty, wisdom and intellectual of an Azerbaijani woman. Moral purity, wealthy internal world of our women are fully reflected in our monuments of word and art, in which we take pride", says the letter.

According to it, out women, who sustained great losses and shocks during the complicated sociopolitical processes, which occurred following restoration of the state independence of Azerbaijan and having victims for the sake of sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, today demonstrate adherence to the ideals of freedom and serve to the establishment of national state.

"Knowledge, capacities and business-like nature of our women played a great role in the achievements, attained by our dynamically developing country. The democratic atmosphere, established in the country, created a favorable ground for the use of the ricj potential of an Azerbaijani woman.

The policy, conducted by the Azerbaijani state towards women, eliminating any discrimination is aimed at ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for women. I hope that the decisions, adopted at the congress, will promote further improvement of this policy", says the letter.

The head of the state voiced confidence that the congress will hold wide and fruitful discussions, prepare recommendations, aimed at the settlement of problems, concerning our society and will promote raising women's activeness and encourage them for new accomplishments.
