Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev visiting country’s western regions - UPDATED

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Ganja within the framework of his visit to western region, APA Western bureau reports.

Firstly he visited the monument of Heydar Aliyev in the square named after Heydar Aliyev. Moreover, he got acquainted with major repair and rehabilitation operations carried out in Shah Abbas Mosque and attended an inauguration of Ganja Diagnostic Center. At the end of the schedule, the President visited the Nizami Mausoleum.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is visiting Tovuz in the framework of his trip to western regions of Azerbaijan, reports Novosti-Azerbaijan with reference to country's official media.

The head of the state arrived in Tovuz from Agstafa, where he took part in the opening of Heydar Aliyev's center.

The head of the state informed that the Center consists of three corps. There is a concert hall for 450 seats, small halls, designed for 20 and 50 seats for holding various events and a cinema for 50 seats as well as an e-library.

The President also familiarized with the territory around the Center, covering an area of 3.7, where all conditions have been created for the region residents and guests to have a rest.

Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTac that President of Azerbaijan attended the opening ceremony of the Medical diagnostical center in Gazakh.

The foundation of this building was laid in October of 2000 during Ilham Aliyev's visit to Gazakh. Its construction was financed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. The three storied building has an area of 9500 square meters. The department of medical aid, hemodialysis, radiodiagnosis, computer tomography locates on the first floor.

The rooms are on the second floor, the surgeon bloc, reanimation and therapy centers are on the third floor. Advanced equipment has been set here. About 270 medical workers will work in the center.

According to Day.Az, after the visit to Gazakh, Tovuz and Agstafa, Ilham Aliyev will arrive in Ganja.

Unofficial sources report that president will familiarize with the works, carried out at the central square of Heydar Aliyev, andl attend the opening ceremony of a diagnostical center, built in Ganja in line with modern standards.

As is repported, the head of the state will also attend the opening ceremony of the new building of the Ganja Regional Perinatal Center, equipped with advanced facilities.

During the visit to Ganja, the President will familiarize with the repair and restoration words, carried out in Shah Abbas mosque.

Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTac that the President of Azerbaijan attended the opening ceremony of the scientific center in Gazakh. There is a big exposition hall in the building devoted the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

There is a library and computer courses in the center.

The only planetarium in the Caucasus has been set in the center. You can see a galaxy, the solar system, planets and so on on a screen through a special facility.

Ilham Aliyev saw the photos, expositions and celestial bodies, demonstrated on the screen.

The President further met with the public representatives, head of Gazakh department of the Azerbaijani Writers Union, poet Barat Vusal.

The head of the state announced that new jobs were created and infrastructural establishments were commissioned in Gazakh owing to work carried out in the framework of the state regional development program.

Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTac that upon arrival to Gazakh the head of the state put flowers to the memorial of the national leader, set in Heydar Aliyev's park.

The President familiarized with the landscaping works. It was noted that reconstruction was held and green trees, decorative bushes and flowers were planted in the park, where there is a scientific center of Heydar Aliyev.

Now, it will become the favorite resting place of the Gazakh residents.

APA’s western bureau reports that the head of state, who arrived in Gazakh region today, participated in the opening ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Museum. The president is also expected to participate in the opening ceremony of the diagnostic center built in line with modern standards. The president will also visit Agstafa and Tovuz regions and attend inauguration of some new facilities.
