Yeni Azerbaijan party collects about 50% of voters' signatures, necessary for candidate registration

As is reported, citizens of Azerbaijan, who have a right to vote, take an active part for Ilham Aliyev's being elected for the second term.

About 1000 party activists from regional and city organizations partake in the signature collection campaign. This campaign will finish soon.

According to the regional organizations of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party, about 50% of signatures of voters have been collected so far. The recent amendments to the Electoral Code require collection of 40,000 signatures.

The Yeni Azerbaijan Party will soon introduce the filled signature lists to the Central Election Commission.
