Center of Democratic Elections concerned with pre-election situation in Azerbaijan

He said the session participants discussed the sociopolitical situation in the country, as well as participation of the parties in the upcoming presidential elections.

"The Center is concerned with the situation, established before elections.

In particular, there are still restrictions in the activity of the political parties, equal conditions have not been created for candidates for presidential elections and the recent amendments to the Electoral Code does not comply with the conduction of democratic elections.

Following the start of presidential elections, the party will define their positions regarding the elections, after which they will adopt a program on a number of arrangements", noted he.

It should be noted that the Center of Democratic Elections includes the Classical Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Great Creation Party, Single Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Great Azerbaijan Party, Tekkamul, Azadlyg party and Open Society party.
