Panakh Guseyn: "Azerbaijani opposition is not passive"

He said opposition is not passive.

"Parties, intending to participate in the elections, carry out due work for participation in them.

Other political structures have selected the boycott tactics. They have explained their position and brought needed arguments. Both decisions should be respected. After elections are held, it will become clear which side has chosen the right way", said Guseyn.

As for possibility to conduct democratic elections in current conditions, Guseyn said the following:

"Conduction of democratic elections does not depend on the Electoral Code. Such factors, as conditions, created for the activity of political parties and candidates, objective coverage of the election process in mass media and provision of free air time to all candidates also play their role in this issue", noted Guseyn.
