A regular session of the Medjlis of the Musavat opposition party will be held on August 2.

As is reported, the agenda will mainly include the attitude to participation in the upcoming presidential elections.
Though on October 12 of 2007 Medjlis decided to participate in the presidential elections and nominate candidacy of party bashqan Isa Qambar, the following events led to the rise in the number of boycott supporters. Not in vain did the leader assessed the proportion of supporters and opponents of participation as 51 to 49 in favor of the first ones in his recent interview to Yeni Musavat newspaper.
It should be reminded that the rise in the number of boycott supporters was promoted by amendments introduced to the Electoral Code and the Law "On Freedom of Assembly", which the party assessed as anti-democratic.
