Chairman of Azerbaijan's Democratic Party receives representative of US National Democracy Institute

As is reported the meeting was of acquaintance and during it the sides discussed the sociopolitical situation in Azerbaijan, situation with principles of democracy, as well as the pre-election situation.

The sides also discussed the recent amendments and alterations to the Electoral Code and prospects of conduction of democratic elections on their basis.

The sides also exchanged views regarding further cooperation with the said organization.

In turn, head of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloghlu announced that new situation established after the recent amendments were introduced to the Electoral Code, therefore, the party is obliged to review its decision regarding participation in the presidential elections.

It should be noted that the meeting was attended by the first deputy chairman of the party Khasrayat Rustamov and deputy chief on voting processes Taliyat Aliyev.
