President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met Tuesday in Batumi with David Merkel, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

During the conversation, they expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States will continue developing.
