President of Azerbaijan receives Turkmen parliament speaker

Ms. Nurberdiyeva passed on greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdymukhammedov to the Azerbaijani leader. She extended her congratulations on the 90th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani Parliament to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of his country.

The Turkmen Speaker underlined the importance of inter-parliamentary ties for development of relations between the two countries, expressing hope for their further expansion and deepening.

President Ilham Aliyev described existing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan as dynamically developing. Recalling Turkmen leader Gurbangulu Berdymukhammedov’s recent visit to Azerbaijan, he expressed confidence that it will promote strengthening ties between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev asked Ms. Nurberdiyeva to pass on his greetings to his Turkmen counterpart Gurbangulu Berdymukhammedov.
