Sardar Jalaloghlu: "The most optimal variant would be spending of AZN 500,000 on our election campaign"

Party chairman Sardar Jalaloghlu told Day.Az that currently works are carried out at creation of the election campaign teams, as well as preparation of the basic platform of the candidate.

"The party has two projects of joining the elections. The first one envisions conduction of expanded arrangements, the second one is more fund-saving. Considering existent opportunities, we will implement one of them", he noted.

Speaking about the financing sources, Jalaloghlu said:

"It would not be correct to count only on the financial support of the party activists. There are separate business structures in the country which want improvement of the situation in the country.

It is early to make discussions of the issue of business structures' assistance public, as the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan do not include due amendments, the date of elections is not specified and such support is provided under the legislation", said he.

Asked how much the party will need for participation in the elections, the chairman of the Democratic Party announced that this issue has always been on the agenda.

"The most optimal variant would be spending AZN 500,000 for the overall election campaign. The minimal amount for participation of our party in the elections makes AZN 250,000", he noted.

It should be reminded that Azerbaijan's Democratic Party nominated Sardar Jalaloghlu's candidacy for presidential elections.
