Azerbaijan’s Electoral Code was discussed at yesterday's meeting of the Venice Commission.

Member of the Venice Commission Eivers Envinch told APA that the participants expressed their concern over the probability of the election commissions’ rigging the elections.
They said the opposition representatives should be included into the election commissions in order to maintain balance in the composition of commissions.
No decision was made at the meeting.
Eivers Envinch said the representatives of Azerbaijani Government and Venice Commission exchanged views on the issue.
The sides agreed to hold one more meeting in April-May after the Electoral Code is discussed in the Azerbaijani Parliament.
It has not been determined whether the discussions will be held in Baku, or in Strasbourg.
