Dimitri Medvedev invited to visit Azerbaijan

The due announcement was made by Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasily Istratov at a press conference today.

He noted that I.Aliyev had a telephone conversation with D.Medvedev.

"D.Medvedev was invited to visit Azerbaijan and he accepted the invitation. There is no information about the date of the visit", Istratov said.

Touching upon the voting at election points in Azerbaijan, Istratov noted that the number of voters has risen by three in Baku as compared to the elections to the State Duma.

According to the ambassador, 85% of Russian citizens voted for Medvedev in Azerbaijan.
