PACE co-rapporteurs meet with Azerbaijan's mass media representatives

The due information was provided by Gun-Seher editor-in-chief Arif Aliyev, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.

According to him, the meeting participants discussed situation with mass media in Azerbaijan.

Uzeir Jafarov, editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper, told Novosti-Azerbaijan that the meeting participants discussed issues of imprisoned reporters Ganimat Zahid, Eynulla Fatullayev and Mirza Sakit.

Moreover, the meeting participants also discussed socioeconomic problems of Azerbaijan's mass media.

Jafarov noted that co-rapporteurs displayed interest with imprisonment of Novruzali Mamedov, editor of the Tolshe Sado newspaper.

The meeting was attended by director of the Turan News Agency Mehman Aliyev, editor of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Uzeir Jafarov, RATI director Emin Guseynov, editor-in-chief of Zerkalo-Ayna newspaper Elchin Shikhli, editor-in-chief of Gun -Seher Arif Aliyev and editor-in-chief of Day.Az news agency Elnur Baimov.
