Yurddash party to support Ilham Aliyev at presidential elections

Party chairman Mais Safarli told Day.Az that the format of the party for presidential elections will be defined during the session.

"Last year our party held an event at which it adopted a decision to support a candidate, who has more chances to win. In this connection we held about 15 polls, both in the regions and in the capital. All of these polls showed that the current president of the country Ilham Aliyev is the most suitable candidate for presidential elections.

Nearly 92% of voters supported Ilham Aliyev during the recent poll held this month. Considering the situation, we will probably support his candidacy. This issue will be settled during the session", Safarli said and added that the Yurddash party does not intend to join any political blocs or coalitions.
