Mamed Emin Rasulzade's birthday to be marked in Azerbaijan

According to Day.Az, the activists of the "Dalga" youth movement will hold a series of arrangements in the memory of prominent state figure on Mamed Emin Rasulzade's birthday on January 31. The movement activists will put flowers in various places of the city, connected with Rasulzade's name.

Thus, they will put flowers to M.Rasulzade's memorial in the Novkhany settlement, the portrait of the state figure inside the 28 May underground station, at the intersection of the Oilmen Avenue and Rasulzade street, allocated for establishment of a memorial to one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, in front of the Baku State University, at the entrance to the Rasulzade settlement, as well as to the memorial of Independence near the presidium of the National Academy of Science and in other sites.

Moreover, the action participants will arrange an Open Theater at the intersection of the Oilmen Avenue and Rasulzade street. The movement activists also appealed to President Ilham Aliyev with a request to perpetuate M.Rasulzade's name.

"Dalga" offers to rename the Sahil park into the Park of Democracy and establish an architectural complex in honor of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic there, establish a memorial board at Rasulzade street, return the name of M.Rasulzade to the Baku State University and establish his bust, set Rasulzade's memorial opposite the Poppet Theater, create his museum house and hold other arrangements.
