CoE follows media situation in Azerbaijan

Council of Europe Committee of Ministers follows the state of media in Azerbaijan, said Franziska Klopfer, representative of Council of Europe Directorate General of human rights at a meeting with Azerbaijani journalists in Strasbourg.

She mentioned that Secretary General Terry Davis has made a statement on the media situation in Azerbaijan.

She said that state of media is part of the monitoring of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe.

Ms. Klopfer said that Council of Europe and Azerbaijani government are negotiating on the state of media. APA
