1994 coup d'etat activist arrested in Moscow

Bakhtiyar Mammadov, wanted active participant by Azerbaijan law-enforcement bodies has been arrested and handed over to Azerbaijan.

Interior Ministry press service told APA Bakhtiyar Mammadov ( born in 1965) is one of the active participants of attempted coup d'etat in 1994.

He faces charges of parricide (Article 57), brigandage (Article 70), murderous assault (article 15.120), unsanctioned use of fire arm (Article 220).

Mammadov was detained in Moscow during the operation conducted by Dashkasan district police Office on May 22.
