Dushanbe to host CIS Foreign Ministers' next meeting

The next meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Foreign Ministers Council will be held in Dushanbe in October, 2007.

The decision was made on it in the meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers Council that ended in Astana today. Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Marat Tajin told journalists that CIS the issues to be debated at the meeting of heads of government in Yalta next month have been specified.

"The majority of the issues that we are debating are of military character. We debated on the coordination of CIS member-states border troops' activity in regulation of extraordinary situation in external borders, and proper decisions were made," he said.

Kajin also stressed cooperation in qualifying personnel for interior bodies, decisions were made on coordination issues in management of emergency situations, APA reports.
