Roundtable "Plunder of natural resources in Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani lands" held

Association of Assistance to Development of Civil Society in Azerbaijan, Public Union of Defense of Human rights of Migrants and IDPs and Monitoring Fund of Ecological Standards in Azerbaijan organized a roundtable on the theme "Sackage of natural resources in Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani lands".

Chief of the Public Union of Defense of Human rights of Migrants and IDPs Nadir Abdullayev said that all historical monuments, natural resources are being sacked at present, APA reports.

Arif Isgenderov, officer of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry said that Armenia is exploiting 155 different kinds of minerals, as well as 80 wells in the territory of Nagorno Karabakh.

He said that Armenians sacked 30 tones gold and thousands of tones of other minerals. Sadig Salmanov, chief of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry sector of development of forests noted that 975.9 hectares of forest was harmed or burnt.

Mammadhuseyn Muslumov, chief of national monitoring of environment department said resources of seven lakes, rivers Araz, Okhchuchay, Hekeri and Bergushad have been polluted.

The participants appealed to UN, PACE and OSCE at the end of the event. The appeal demanded the organizations to take corresponding measures to prevent the plunder of natural resources in Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani lands.
