Rasul Guliyev: "I am certain to join the presidential elections"

He told the APA that he will not only watch the ongoing processes in Azerbaijan, but be more active.

Asked if the name of the party will be changed in the congress on April 14 Rasul Guliyev said it is not so important. But he did not rule out that the congress members can make such a decision.

Commenting on joint cooperation with Serdar Jalaloglu, leader of a part of ADP, Rasul Guliyev said he prefers cooperation with parties.

Asked if he will participate in the elections and form an alliance Rasul Guliyev said that the elections should be fair and free.

"Free and fair elections are the main part of democracy and we will achieve it. In this case, let no one doubt that I will participate in the elections. Alliance can be formed with those who share our ideas on the solution of political, economic problems, and liberating our lands," he said.

Rasul Guliyev said that National Forum should be held with regard to current problems.

"The forum should be held. I think that there is not such a strong party in Azerbaijan without which it would be impossible to hold the forum. Besides, we will sign bilateral agreements with parties and alliances. Every party leader should try to sacrifice personal ambitions for his nation," he said.
