YAP accuses Ali Insanov of slander

The party says that former minister slanders on the part. YAP regarded Ali Insanov's statement as deviating from the accusations and politicizing the trial.

"By slandering on the party which he once represented, he demonstrates his real character. Ali Insanov’s statements in trial, who welcomed Ilham Aliyev when he was appointed Prime Minister in August, 2003 and elected president later is nothing but deceitfulness."

The statement mentions that Ilham Aliyev again appointed Ali Insanov appointed minister after 2003 elections and he held the post until 2005 when he was arrested, APA reports.

"YAP states that Ali Insanov's statements about his financing 2003 presidential elections are false and neither international and local observers, nor Central Election Commission found any shortcoming concerning financing of YAP election campaign. YAP refutes and condemns Ali Insanov’s all lies."
