Ruslan Bashirli's lawyer to appeal to European Court of Human Rights

Lawyer Osman Kazimov told APA that he applied corresponding court authorities on the case.

He said he was waiting for the decision of Supreme Court after which he will prepare declaration. According to the lawyer they are going to request the European Court release verdict on Ruslan Bashirli's case. Moreover he is going to claim moral and material compensation.

"In the applications to Azerbaijani courts, we showed the size compensation in Euros 500 thousand. In the application to be addressed to European court the size of compensation may change. It is to be consulted with Ruslan Bashirli's family."

The leaders of Yeni Fikir youth organization Ruslan Bashirli and Ramin Taghiyev were arrested in 2005. They face charges of staging coup.
