German ambassador visits Ganja

German ambassador to Azerbaijan Per Stankina visited Ganja.

The ambassador met with Ganja Executive Power's chief Eldar Azizov. The ambassador told journalists that Germany prepares new project for cultural field.

The diplomat added that they are planning to implement some parts of the project in Ganja.

"Ganja is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities of Azerbaijan, and it has great potential in cultural field. Best projects can be implemented here. We discussed existing problems and opportunities with the city leaders," he said.

The ambassador also stated that the German government intends to work out a new strategic plan in the framework of its chairmanship of the European Union.

"Germany was the first country in the European Union that introduced the Central Asia in this organization. This strategic plan will analyze the interests of both the Central Asia and European Union member countries. The Central Asian countries approved this proposal," the diplomat said. APA
