Tigran Torosyan: "If decision on NK does not satisfy us, conduction of elections will be of no importance"

22 December 2006 [10:50] - TODAY.AZ
If an acceptable solution for both sides is made during the process of the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, it will not impede the conduction of elections, Speaker of Armenian Parliament Tigran Torosyan said.

He said if the process of talks result in "bad decision," it is not important if the elections will be conducted or not. He also commented on Robert Kocharian's views that the elections will impede the process of talks.

"This is not only Kocharian's position. Analogous position is shared by international organizations. OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs noted that the elections will slow down the talks. Therefore, 2006 was considered to be a convenient year for the settlement of the conflict," he said, APA informs.
