ANS chief plans to appeal to President Aliyev

25 November 2006 [10:48] - TODAY.AZ
The private Azeri broadcasting company ANS, which was stripped of its broadcasting license on November 24, plans to appeal to the Azeri leadership.

"We will appeal to the country's leadership regarding this incident, and I think we will have a positive answer," ANS President and one of the founders Vahid Mustafayev said at a press conference in Baku on Friday.

Mustafayev said he hoped the president's intervention could help solve the problem, "because this [the channel's closure] does not benefit Azerbaijan."

"We will use all opportunities offered by Azeri and international laws to solve this problem," he said. Interfax
